  1. What and where is the Uptrend Member Profile?

  2. Can I use the system straight-away without registering (send DAF first)?

    Yes if the phone number you are using is the same as the one inside your Uptrend Member profile data and if there is only one such mobile no. inside V2.

    You can check this by login-in at https://secure.ui2u.com/ and then choose Edit Profile and look for Mobile Phone No. field. SMS Manager will look into these to check people coming straight-in without registering.

  3. Why SMS manager does not seem to auto-detect my mobile no in my profile.?

    This is probably because you did not enter a valid number in your profile or there are MANY Uptrend ID with that same phone no.

    Your mobile number should be in 01XXXXXXXX or 01X-XXX-XXXX or 01X XXX XXXX or 601XXXXXXX format. (i.e. only spaces, hypen, and digits are accepted).

    Cases of MANY Uptrend ID having same mobile no. happens when your upline submit your member info didn't bother to input your mobile no.

  4. Uptrend SMS manager is detecting me as someone else (not my Uptrend ID)?

    This is because there are many Uptrend IDs using same phone no in the profile. In such case you have to send UP STOP and then UP DAF Your_UptrendID Your_UptrendPassword to 33733.

  5. Can I use the system using someone else (or my other mobile) phones? (eg my phone is running out of battery)

    Yes but you need to register (UP DAF Your_UptrendID Your_Uptrend_Password) first. Please remember to erase your member userid/password inside the phone memory and send UP STOP when done if you are using some one else phone!

  6. When the daily bonus usually got published?

    In general it will be published daily from 10:30 am on Monday to Friday and around 12:05 pm on Sunday. To be safe, please send keyword query after 12:05 pm.

    Those who subscribe will receive the Subscribe Broadcast from as early as 10:00 am.

  7. Why the Bonus (Keyword Answering) is showing an "outdated" results?

    SMS manager searches the Uptrend database for the last date where there is such a bonus calculation on your member id. This means either there is no more bonus results for you beyond from that "outdated" date or the latest bonus has not been published yet on that day. See previous FAQ on when bonus are being published.

    For Plan A Bonus (PAB) - SMS manager will search for the latest date inside MGDB, MSB, DLB, LDB, and CFB and use that date {bonusdate} to show the results.

  8. Why the Bonus (Keyword Answering) is showing a day before yesterday results?

    SMS manager does not calculate your bonus - it simply retrieves the last calculated bonus {LATESTBONUSDATE} (by the Uptrend MLM Database) which is normally generated after 12:00pm everyday. Thus, if you check at 9.00 am, chances are you will be getting the results for a day (or for many days) before yesterday. Please see the previous paragraph for an example.

  9. How to get Subscribe?

    You need to login into SMS manager to subscribe or unsubscribe. By default everyone is not subscribe to anything until one chooses to subscribe. Please remember that if you don't have sufficient credit balance, the system won't send you any result. If you wish to stop all subscriptions please send UP STOP to 33733.

  10. To what extent can I use somebody else Mobile No?

    You can use it for sending keyword queries to 33733 but not for subscribe delivery. In other words, the subscribe results will only be sent to the mobile no. in your profile.

  11. Can you explain ACC and ACCM?

    ACC will show the total messages and charges on the specified day, while ACCM will show the total messages and charges on the specified month.

    If the day is not specified - ACC will show the statistics for today. Similiarly, if the month is not specified, ACCM will show the statistics for the current month.

    Note: If you have a 2 mobile phones with different numbers - please note that ACC and ACCM are programmed to report Messages statistics and the Premium SMS costs for the current calling number. However, the Credit Balance stats are based on your Uptrend ID.

  12. ACC, ACCM, BAL reports didn't show one more message (the last one used)?

    At the moment the reply statistics are not programmed to include the cost and the latest message stats (i.e. the latest message that you have used to get, say ACC, itself). The reason for this is because we don't want to tell the future (eg your keybulk is going to be = 9 KeyBulk 2.70, CreditBal is going to be 16.11) when things has not happened yet.

  13. Why sometimes the BAL result for e-wallet differ by 1 cent from V2 e-Wallet?

    This is because of rounding off program at V2 e-Wallet which will never round off the value to anything bigger.

    eg if Your Actual Balance = 1000.3599999,
    Uptrend V2 system will present to the user as 1000.35 but
    Uptrend SMS system will present to the user as 1000.36

    You should not worry about this - because it is just a way of representing the data to the user. (i.e. The real data stored would always be 1000.3599999)

  14. I have 2 mobile phones, how do I use both Mobile Nos in Uptrend SMS u-send/subscribe system?

    Edit your Uptrend Profile and enter the mobile numbers separated by /. eg. Mobile Phone No: 019 1234 5678 / 012 1234 5555

  15. Why I am receiving (SMS Need Top Up! CBAL=XXXX) message?

    It means your Uptrend SMS Credit Balance is quite low (between RM 1.00 and RM 3.00) and you should purchase an Uptrend Bulk SMS package top-up as soon as possible. Please note that the system won't send this message if your Credit Balance is below 1.00.

  16. How to stop receiving subscription messages?

    Send UP STOP to 33733. Alternatively, you can login to SMS manager and untick everything in Subscribe menu.

  17. I send UP something to 33733 but nothing happens (or the message arrive quite late)?

    This could happen when the something is wrong (hardware/software glitch) or too busy (SMS traffic jam) between between Uptrend SMS server and the User.

  18. What are the characters that are allowed in the U-Send SMS? I am getting a BadInput message.

    Please look at the Tips below. Some characters like ' and some special symbols may be OK to your phone but not OK to other old outdated phones.

    Other than this, please be informed that SMS manager has a built in filter which will change any occurances of ' to ` for member names retrieved from Uptrend V2 database and this ` might appear as ? in some mobile phones. However, SMS manager will not change ' inside U-send messages.

    Tips for Valid and Invalid SMS Characters

    1. Tips for 'SMS Message' - Allowed characters are only: 0 to 9, A to Z, a to z, space = . / @ ? * + ! " # % & ` ( ) : ; , - $ < >
    2. Tips for 'SMS Message' - Allowed symbols are only: É Ä ¡ Ö Ñ ¿ ä Ü Ø ø ö ñ § £ ¥ è é ù ì ò ç Æ æ Å ü ¤ ß å à
    3. Tips for 'SMS Message' - Unallowed characters are like: [ ] _ ' ^ ~ { } | \ and so on
    4. Tips for 'SMS Message' - We are still allowing characters are like: _ ' \ and / but remember it might appear as ? on some old phones.

  19. I couldn't receive the subscription from UPTREND_SUB (subscription) but I can receive replies from UPTREND (bulk keyword answering).

    Most probably your number has been 'blacklisted' either by the gateway or your Telco. This normally happened when you bought a new SIM card with a 'recycled' phone number and that recycle phone number has an SMS spam attack history.

    If sometime you can receive and sometime you cannot receive the subscription then most likely your number was problematic. We recommend members with this kind of problem to stop all subscription and inform Uptrend immediately.

  20. Where is the form screen to buy the Bulk SMS package?

    To Form is inside the e-Wallet Menu - PlanB Purchase (see the diagram). Scroll down a bit and you should see the line with a word 'TOP UP SMS CREDIT BANK'.

  21. In the member area, why the SMS Charges is a bit larger than the actual charges ?

    Sometimes the gateway will say that the delivery is 'successfull' to Uptrend but the user never get the message (eg if handphone has been switched off too long, say, exceeding 24 hours, or your Telco account has depleted etc).

    The reason for this is because that 'successfull' actually means that the gateway has successfully received a keyword reply from Uptrend only. It didn't mean the recipient has actually received the message.

    There might be a special high end gateway out there that can inform the Uptrend server that the user has actually received the message, however, implementing this kind of system will make things more expensive to everybody!.

  22. I have many memberid using one phone no. (eg Husband and Wife use same mobile no.) - How can I use the system for different memberid?

    You can use it in the Subscribe System but you should not send any keyword commands other than UP STOP to 33733 because the reply system is designed to interact with one memberid only. The UP STOP command will stop all subscriptions to one phone no and this includes cases of many UptrendID using same phone no.

    There is a workaround to this but it is a bit complicated and not recommended. You must UP DAF Your_Uptrend_ID1 Your_Uptrend_Password_1 first - then interact whatever. In order to switch, send UP STOP, then UP DAF UP Your_Uptrend_ID2 Your_Uptrend_Password_2, interact whatever and so on... If you did not do this then you will get undesired results (ie want to get bonus for Uptrend_ID2 but got bonus for Uptrend_ID1).

    Other than this, please note that if you did not DAF at all, the system will do some simple guesswork to discover which UptrendID (by picking the most recent UptrendID using that phone no in the top-up. If no top-up record was found - it will use the first found UptrendID with that number in V2 server.)

  23. What is Uptrend V1 and Uptrend V2?

    Both are servers holding your data. Uptrend V2 exists after 28th August 2006. The V letter can be considered as 'Version'.
